Workspace / tenant
Also known as: Tenant, Organization scope
Definition
A workspace, or tenant, is the top-level isolation layer of a SaaS platform. Inside a workspace, documents, users, roles, API keys, and audit logs are managed separately from other customer organizations. Workspaces can usually be further structured into teams, projects, or collections. Technical and organizational barriers between workspaces ensure that data does not become visible across organizations by accident.
How Swiss Knowledge Hub uses this term
At Swiss Knowledge Hub, a workspace typically maps to a single legal entity (for example a law firm, a public office, or a bank). Workspace administrators manage users, integrations, LLM configuration, and BYOK keys independently.
